Difficulty Rating: Advanced Beginner
This pattern was developed with the advanced beginner sewist in mind. However, it can be modified and enhanced by intermediate and advanced sewists. This pattern is designed for a variety of materials including quilting cotton, cork, or vinyl. There is a zipper pocket that may be omitted, if beginner sewists desire. 

Description:
The Breakthrough Bag is is a perfect everyday bag with lots of style and personality! While compact, it can carry all of your essentials and will keep your contents organized  and secure with its pockets and flap. The Breakthrough Bag can be made with minimal hardware, or it can be given a glow up with fun bling and extras! The Cutout Feature in the Flap allows the fabric underneath to shine through, and multiple options are provided for the Flap Closure. There is an interior zipper pocket and an interior slip pocket. 

Finished measurements:
11" wide,  7.75" tall, and 3" deep

Materials Lists include:
1/2 yard Exterior Main Body Fabric
1/4 yard Flap Fabric
1/2 yard Lining Fabric
1 - 2 yards woven interfacing (such as 20" SF101 or 40" Wovenfuse or similar)
1/2 yard fusible fleece
(1) 9" zipper or 9" of Zipper Tape and 1 pull
(2) d-rings of preferred size (1/2", 3/4", or 1" are all acceptable)
(1) Magnetic Snap
(1) Chain Strap (OR (2) Snaphooks and (1) Strap Slider if you choose to make a strap)
(1) Magnetic Edge Lock/Clasp or Decorative Magnetic Snap (optional)
(1) Strap End (optional)
Rivets (optional)
Double-sided Tape
Sewing Clips and/or Pins
Coordinating Thread
Edgecoat for Cork/Vinyl (optional)
Teflon Foot or Walking Foot highly recommended when sewing with Cork or Vinyl
